Get to Know It

What Is Halotherapy?

Halotherapy, also known as dry salt therapy, is a holistic wellness practice that involves inhaling micro-particles of pharmaceutical-grade salt in a controlled environment. This natural therapy mimics the benefits of salt caves and has been used for centuries to promote respiratory health, skin rejuvenation, and overall well-being. By reducing inflammation, cleansing airways, and promoting relaxation, halotherapy offers a simple yet powerful way to enhance physical and mental wellness.

Halotherapy

How Halotherapy Works

Respiratory Cleansing

A halogenerator disperses fine salt particles into the air, which are inhaled deep into the lungs. The salt may help loosen mucus and clear irritants from the airways, which many guests with allergies or seasonal congestion find helpful. The result is a feeling of easier, fuller breathing.

Soothing Properties

Salt has natural soothing properties that may help calm irritation in the respiratory tract. Many guests use regular sessions to support their overall respiratory wellness.

Skin Nourishment

Salt is known for its antibacterial and hydrating properties, and many guests find halotherapy soothing for dry or irritated skin. Salt may help balance the skin’s pH, leaving it looking clearer, healthier and more radiant.

The Science Behind It

Why Halotherapy Works

Clearing the Airways

Dry salt particles act as a natural expectorant, which may help thin mucus and clear allergens and pollutants from the airways.

Supporting Your Defenses

Salt’s natural antimicrobial properties may help support your respiratory system’s natural defenses.

Reducing Stress

The calm salt room environment promotes relaxation and may help lower stress hormones.

Improving Sleep Quality

By easing congestion and promoting relaxation, halotherapy may support deeper, more restful sleep.

Easing Everyday Discomfort

Salt’s natural properties may help soothe the airways, and many guests say they breathe and move more comfortably after a session.

Halotherapy is a natural, non-invasive therapy that supports overall wellness, from easier breathing to healthy-looking skin to deep relaxation. Whether you come for your breathing, stress relief or your skin, salt therapy is a wonderful way to support your well-being.

Good to Know

Top Questions

Do I need to prepare for a halotherapy session?

Nope! Just show up, breathe, and let the salt work its magic. There’s no need for pre-session rituals or complicated prep, just a relaxed mindset and maybe an extra sip of water to stay hydrated. Bonus points if you bring a relaxed attitude and leave your stress at the door.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing, like what you’d lounge in at home. If you’re coming for skin benefits, exposing affected areas (within reason, of course) can maximize the therapy’s effects. No special outfits required, just you and your chillest vibes. Keep in mind, if you are in the salt cave it is private for just your party, if you are in the salt room please remember others may join you as we allow up to 12 people per session.

What happens during a halotherapy session?

You’ll relax in a peaceful room while finely ground salt particles float in the air, working their magic on your lungs and skin. Some people meditate, some nap, and others just sit quietly, breathing in all the salty goodness.

Do I need to shower afterward?

Nope! Unlike a dip in the ocean, halotherapy leaves no sticky residue, just clean, purified airways and happy skin.
